She got her teeth cleaned by the dental hygienist and allowed the dentist to examine her teeth. As we had suspected, he confirmed that thumb sucking is negatively impacting her bite. He advised to do what we had to do to get her stop as soon as possible. Ugh. Unfortunately she is not one of the "lucky" thumb suckers that can outgrow it on their own because it does no teeth damage. So...last night was night 1 of no thumb sucking. It was horrible but deserves its own post later.
I hadn't planned on Presley having a cleaning or checkup, I thought it would be a nice gradual entry with her just being there with us. But, she was very excited to have a turn so after Sammy's exam, she climbed up on the chair.
As you can see, she was not quite as thrilled as Sammy. The dentist tried a few different ways to convince her to open her mouth but she was not having it. She didn't cry but was clearly terrified. I didn't push it...we'll try again in 6 months!

Sammy looks SO proud!
Presley was so brave! Good for her for trying! :)
I love the look on P's face!
K doesn't like the dentist either and has been going for a couple years now. Sigh.
